More than 50 South Africans who were missing in northern Mozambique are now safe.
South African soldiers were sent to the neighbouring country to repatriate citizens following attacks by insurgents in the gas-rich town of Palma in Cabo Delgado Province.
The SANDF says all 50 South African nationals have now been accounted for.
The SANDF says it’s providing assistance to the country’s High Commission in Mozambique.
President Cyril Ramaphosa yesterday said the SANDF had been dispatched to Mozambique to secure the safety of South Africans.
